MAINTENANCE
REPLACING THE DUSTBAG
Ø Always operate the cleaner with the dustbag installed. Ø If you forget to attach the dustbag or attach it in the wrong manner, the dust cover may not close completely. Ø After removing the flexible hose, open the front cover using the compartment open button (fig. 21). Ø Rotate the support of the bag to the vertical position. Ø Remove the dustbag and insert a new one (fig. 22). Ø Close the cover by pressing down until it clicks (fig. 21). Ø The paper dustbag reference number is Menalux T120 or it can be used with SMS (textile) dustbag. Textile dustbag Ø Remove the textile bag from the holder (fig. 22). Ø Slide the plastic clip away from the bag to open and empty (fig. 23, 24). Ø Replace the plastic clip ensuring that both sides of the bag are parallel (fig. 23). Ø Replace the bag into the holder (fig. 22). Note: The bag may be washed in luke warm water and dried completely. It should not be washed in washing machine (fig. 25). Ø Close the cover by pressing down until it clicks (fig. 21).

BLOCKED AIRFLOW AND DIRTY FILTERS
Ø The cleaner stops automatically if a blockage occurs in the nozzle/tube/hose or if the filters are blocked with dirt. Ø Disconnect from mains and allow the cleaner to cool for 45−60 minutes. Remove blockage and/or replace filters. Ø Restart the cleaner.

CLEANING / REPLACING THE FILTERS
Ø The dustbag must be replaced if the window of the dustbag full indicator is illuminated. Ø Filters should be replaced at least twice a year or when they become visibly soiled. Ø Always operate the cleaners with filters installed to avoid reduced suction. Ø Disconnect from electrical outlet before cleaning filters. Cleaning the motor filter Ø Pull dustbag upward and remove the motor protection filter (fig. 26). Ø Rinse the filter under tap water and dry it completely (fig.29). Ø Put the filter back into the cleaner and close the cover (fig. 26, fig. 21). Cleaning the exhaust filter Ø Open the filter grill and remove the exhaust filter (fig. 27, fig. 28). Ø Rinse the filter under tap water and dry it completely (fig. 29). Ø Put the filter back into the cleaner and close the filter grill (fig. 28, fig. 27).

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Ø Attempt to recycle packaging material and old appliances. Ø The cardboard packaging can be placed in the waste paper collection. Ø Deposit the plastic bag made of polyethylene (PE) at the PE collection point for recycling. Recycling the appliance at the end of its life: Ø The plastic components all carry a material identification marking so that, like the other materials, they can by recycled at the end of the life of the appliance. Ø Please inquire with your local authority.
